In November, Michelle Ray was invited to speak at the College of Architecture at Texas A&M University in College Station. She lectured on “Technology for FM Project Management”, for the Project Management in Facilities course. It was a great opportunity to speak to 61 bright students in a course designed for Facility Managers of the future!
The lecture took students through the ARCHIBUS Project Management application and demonstrated how ARCHIBUS is a single integrated tool that allows facility managers to reach into other modules for information when they are planning and executing a project. Having the ability to see other work in the area, markup floor plans online, view employees affected and manage moving them into temporary locations, etc. is invaluable. Students asked questions about what other information they could see in ARCHIBUS, was it easy to learn/use, how ARCHIBUS compared to other products, and if it was available outside of the U.S.
Michelle Ray, Absolute Facility Solutions, has been nominated for the WBE Rising Star Award. This award recognizes a newly-certified WBE who has demonstrated the highest degree of support for and involvement with the Women’s Business Council – Southwest.
The winner will be announced at the 2018 WBCS Parade of Stars Gala in February. This event recognizes and honors WBEs and Sustaining (Corporate) Members for their exemplary contributions in achieving the Council’s mission of advancing and enhancing business opportunities between WBEs, corporate America, and the government.
Join us tomorrow in Houston or via WebEx, for the Houston area ARCHIBUS Users’ Group. Presentations provided by ARCHIBUS, Inc. and MD Anderson.
